10 lbs (two 5 lb packages) Dearborn Brand German Knockwurst
3 lbs cabbage
1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored and chopped
2 onions, thinly sliced
4 tbsp salted butter
1 cup apple cider
⅓ cider vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp ground black pepper

  • Melt butter in large pot over medium-low heat
  • Add onions and cook 15-20 minutes, until soft and golden brown
  • Stir in cabbage, apple, cider, vinegar, brown sugar, salt and pepper
  • Cover and cook for 1 hour, until cabbage is soft
  • Add whole Dearborn Brand German Knockwurst sausages into cabbage
  • Cover pot and cook about 20 minutes, until heated through
  • Serve with Dearborn Brand Hot Mustard
